Drums and barrels are not allowed

How To Get Large Items Collected

Midwest Disposal offers reliable curbside yard waste pickup in select Illinois communities. To ensure service, residents should place grass clippings, leaves, and small branches in approved compostable paper bags or clearly marked containers. Branches must be cut to 4 feet or shorter, bundled with natural twine, and weigh under 50 pounds. Proper preparation helps ensure safe, efficient collection and supports environmentally responsible disposal.

Midwest Disposal makes it easy to dispose of bulk trash and heavy waste with no sticker required—charges are automatically applied to your account. Bulk waste includes items not typically generated through regular household use, such as:

Yard Waste

  • Furniture: Couches, tables, mattresses, box springs, desks, dressers, and more
  • Fencing, Decking, or Siding: Must be free of nails, cut to 4 feet or less, tied in bundles under 50 pounds (limit 2 bundles per pickup)
  • Basketball Goals: Must be disassembled into sections 4 feet or shorter with no concrete attached
  • Carpet and Flooring: Cut to 4 feet or less, bundled under 50 pounds (limit 2 bundles per pickup)

For affordable and convenient curbside bulk item pickup in Illinois, trust Midwest Disposal to handle your large waste responsibly and on schedule.
