Choosing a Dumpster Location
Avoid placing the dumpster near pedestrian walkways or vehicle traffic zones.
Provide at least 100 feet of clear, unobstructed space for safe drop-off and pickup.
Select a level, stable surface that is free of debris, low-hanging wires, tree branches, or other obstacles.
Before Your Scheduled Pickup
Ensure all waste is evenly distributed and stays within the top rim of the dumpster—no materials should be sticking out.
Do not exceed the maximum allowable weight limit of 10 tons.
On the Day of Service
Move any parked vehicles or equipment that may block access to the dumpster.
If your dumpster is located behind a locked gate or inside an enclosure, unlock it or provide Midwest Disposal with a key or access code ahead of time.
If you’ve used a tarp or cover to protect the contents, please remove it before the driver arrives.
